TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Psalms 49-51 chapters DEVOTION
Psalm 51:17 (NIV)“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” A broken heart before God is not weakness. It’s a heart with sincerity and genuine repentance.
Do you have a broken heart?
Are you truly sorry for your sins?
When temptation comes, do you desire to turn away from it?
True repentance is not just saying “sorry” , it is choosing not to return to the same sin again.
PAUSE AND CHECK YOUR HEART
Are you repeating the same sins?
Are you returning to old habits?
Are you going back to old thoughts and lifestyles? The God who created the universe is not looking for expensive gifts, diamonds, gold or sacrifices. He is looking for a sincere heart with true repentance.
Do you have such heart to offer?
Today, let this be our prayer, “Lord, here is my heart. Take it.”
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for forgiving my sins and setting me free from every bondage. I surrender my heart to You. Amen.
