23 MAY 2026, DAY 142 – I WON’T BE QUIET

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Psalms 40-42 chapters DEVOTION

Have you ever been to a concert or watched videos from one? People sing loudly, jump, dance, scream, record videos, and post pictures on Instagram to share with friends because they genuinely love the artist and the songs. Nobody forces them to do it. Their excitement and joy naturally overflow.

David had that same kind of passion for God.

“I have proclaimed good news of righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I will not restrain my lips, as you know, O Lord. I have not concealed your righteousness within my heart; I have proclaimed your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great assembly.” Psalm 40:9, 10 (AMP)

David could not stay quiet about God’s goodness. He openly spoke about God’s faithfulness, righteousness, salvation, love, and truth because he had personally experienced them.

When God changes your life, restores you, comforts you, forgives you, or carries you through difficult seasons, it becomes hard to keep quiet about Him. What fills your heart eventually flows out through your words.

People naturally talk about what they love most. They share their favorite songs, movies, games, food, places and experiences. In the same way, when we truly encounter God’s goodness, sharing about Him becomes natural. You do not need to be timid about what God has done in your life. Your testimony may encourage someone who is struggling, doubting, or searching for hope.

Let’s not be quiet because God has been faithful in every season of our lives.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for Your righteousness, faithfulness, and unfailing love in my life. As I proclaim Your goodness, give me boldness to speak. Amen.
