Isaiah 58:13, 14
In the 21st century, the world seems to be working nonstop. But God did not create us to live without rest.
The
Sabbath is to be observed not only because keeping it is God’s command, but also because it is good for us and brings honor to Him. Setting aside a day for rest demonstrates our reverence for the God who created us. It helps strengthen our families, keeps our priorities in the right order, and refreshes us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
A day of rest also gives us the opportunity to gather with other believers, worship God in unity, and reflect on His goodness without the constant demands of everyday life.
CHALLENGE
No matter where you are around the world, No matter what you to have to sacrifice. Let’s all show up in His presence tomorrow.
PRAYER
God, thank You for giving us the commandment to keep the sabbath day holy. As tomorrow is Sunday, I ll attend church no matter what may come my way. May I come into Your presence with a thankful heart, worship You for who You are, and be refreshed by Your Word. In Jesus name, Amen.
