25 SEPTEMBER 2026, DAY 268 – JUST WAIT!

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Micah 4-7 Chapters

DEVOTION
Micah 7:7-9 Chapters

God, should I do this?

God, should I pursue this?

God, should I take up this way?

Sometimes, the answer might simply be

“Wait.”

And it is definitely very hard to wait.

In these verses, Micah showed great faith in God as he proclaimed that he would wait on Him.

  1. He knew that God would hear him and save him when help was needed.
  2. He chose to look to God instead of being overwhelmed by his circumstances.
  3. He trusted that God would bring him through when times were tough.
  4. He believed that even when he fell, he would rise again because God was with him.
  5. “Though I sit in the darkness, the Lord Himself will be my light.

Look at the confidence Micah had in God. His circumstances did not determine his faith; his trust in God did.

Micah’s confidence came from knowing who God is. He could wait because he knew that God was faithful, even when the answer did not come immediately.

If we have a relationship with God that allows us to have confidence like Micah’s, it really doesn’t take unusual talent. It simply takes faith in God and a willingness to act on that faith.

Waiting does not mean that God has forgotten us. Sometimes, while we are waiting for the answer, God is working in us, preparing us, and strengthening our faith.

So, when we do not know what to do, we can ask:

“God, should I do this?”
“God, should I pursue this?”
“God, should I take up this way?”

And if His answer is “Wait,” may we have the faith to wait, and the confidence to know that He will be our light even in the darkness.

PRAYER

Lord, it really hard to wait as days, months, years pass by. But I know one thing for sure that I know whom I have believed. I surrender my life completely into your mighty hands. In Jesus name, amen.
