TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Micah 1-3 Chapters
DEVOTION
Lachish was a place in Judah, and its people influenced others to follow their evil example. We can sometimes do the same through our own words, actions, attitudes, and choices.
Whether we consider ourselves as leaders, our daily lives are being observed by others more than we realize. When people see us sin or compromise, they may begin to think, “If they are doing it, maybe it is okay for me to do it too.”
That is why we need to be careful about the example we set. We should never be the reason someone is encouraged to sin or move away from God.
As I reflect on this devotion, I am reminded that our goal should not be to impress people. Instead, we should live with an awareness that God sees everything we do and our lives should point others toward Him.
Let us be example to those around us not only through our words, but also through our actions, attitudes and the way we treat others.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to live with the awareness that You are always watching over me. Help me to be careful with my words, actions, and attitudes. May my life be an example that points others toward You and never encourages anyone to sin or move away from You. Help me to honor You in everything I do.
