TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Jeremiah 4-6 Chapters
DEVOTION
“The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out. They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.”
Jeremiah 6:29-30 NIV
Metals are purified by fire. As they are heated, impurities are burned away until only the pure metal remains. When God tested the people of Judah, He found no purity in their lives because they continued to sin and rebel against Him.
Take a moment to examine your own heart. Are there any impurities in your life that need to be removed? Speak honestly with God about them and allow Him to purify you according to His perfect will.
Pause a minute and reflect on the areas of your life that God has already refined. Just as metal must endure intense heat and pressure before it becomes pure, we too often go through difficult seasons as God shapes our character. At times, the pressure may feel overwhelming, and we may wonder if we can endure it. But you know what God is with us through every trial. He never leaves us in the fire alone.
What an amazing and faithful God we have!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for removing the impurities from my life and for continually guiding me on the right path. Reveal anything in my heart that needs to change, and give me the strength and willingness to surrender it to You. May I come out of the fire purified, holy, and pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus name, Amen.
