5 AUGUST 2026, DAY 217 – COME HOME AGAIN!

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 1-3 Chapters

DEVOTION
Perhaps you have encountered God in the past and experienced His love, grace, and care. Yet somewhere along the way, you drifted away from Him. Maybe you’ve sinned and now carry guilt, shame, or regret.

“Therefore, go and give this message to Israel. This is what the Lord says: “O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.”
“Only acknowledge your guilt. Admit that you rebelled against the Lord your God and committed adultery against him by worshiping idols under every green tree. Confess that you refused to listen to my voice. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭3‬:‭12,13‬ ‭NLT‬

Today, God lovingly calls you back: “Come home again.”
Will you return to Him?

In these verses, God reveals His heart. He invites you to return, not because you deserve it, but because He is merciful. God does not ignore sin, but He welcomes those who humbly turn back to Him.

Come to God just as you are, but with an honest heart. Confess your sins and talk to him honestly about your situation. He is ready to forgive and restore you.

The Bible reminds us that when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. True repentance means more than simply saying, “I’m sorry.” It is a genuine turning away from sin and not repeat it again.

No matter how far you have wandered in the world, God’s arms are always open. His grace is greater than your failures, mistakes, sins, guilt.
COME HOME AGAIN!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I am sorry for the sins I have committed, even after knowing Your great love for me. I repent and turn back to You. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Strengthen me to resist temptation and help me not to repeat the same sins again. Thank You for welcoming me back with mercy and grace. I am amazed by the depth of Your unfailing love. In Jesus name, Amen.
