10 JUNE 2026, DAY 161 – HAS LIFE BEEN UNFAIR?

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE: Psalms 94-96 Chapters

DEVOTION

Have you ever been treated unfairly?

Have you ever experienced injustice?

Many times, those who do wrong seem to get away with it. Unfairness appears in different forms and can be found in every corner of the world.

During my under graduation, one of my classmates fabricated a rumour about me and shared it with a close friend who had trusted me to manage certain things in their absence. It may sound like a small incident, but it grew into something much bigger. My friend stopped talking to me, and in the entire situation, I had done nothing wrong. It was so painful, and I struggled with the fact that it felt so unfair.

In Psalms 94th chapter we see the psalmist turning to God, the righteous Judge. When we face unfair situations, doubts and questions often arise. We may wonder why God allows injustice and why the guilty seem to get away.

So, what should we do when life feels unfair?

Psalms 94:19 (NLT) says “When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”

It’s hurting to handle when unfair things happen. Yet God’s comfort has a way of renewing our hope even in the middle of pain. Instead of carrying the burden ourselves, we can place the situation into His mighty hands, knowing that HE IS PERFECTLY JUST. Be courageous and trust God’s justice. Allow Him to renew your hope. In the end, our true and lasting hope is found in Him alone.

PRAYER

Lord, many situations, circumstances, people have been unfair to me. Yet I find comfort in You, and Your comfort renews my hope. Help me trust Your justice and leave every hurt in Your hands. You are my only hope, now and forever. In Jesus name, Amen. ‎
