Are you facing any human opposition?
“Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon.” Psalm 76:10 (NLT)
How can human opposition bring praise to God?
Throughout history, God has often used resistance, hostility, and even persecution as opportunities to display His power and accomplish His purposes for His glory.
Consider Pharaoh in Egypt. His stubborn refusal to release the Israelites became the backdrop for God’s mighty acts, revealing His power through miraculous deliverance.
Another example is William Tyndale. Because he translated the Bible into English, he faced intense opposition from religious and political authorities. Eventually, he was executed for his work. Yet his death did not stop the spread of Scripture. Instead, after his death the English Bible became more widely available, impacting countless lives. As the saying goes, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.”
Perhaps you are facing opposition, criticism, or difficult circumstances today. Be encouraged that God is not limited by human resistance. He can turn tables around and what was meant for harm into something that advances His purposes and brings glory to His name. The very obstacles that seem to stand against you may become the stage upon which God displays His power and glory.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You that no opposition is greater than Your power. Help me trust You during challenges and resistance. Turn every difficulty into an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed, and strengthen my faith as I wait on You. In Jesus name, Amen.
