TODAY’s SCRIPTURE: Psalms 79-81 Chapters
DEVOTION
Psalm 80:3, 7, 19 repeats the prayer, “Turn us again.” The Hebrew word used is shuv, which means to turn around, return, or restore. It is a humble cry for God to bring His people back to Himself and restore a broken relationship.
True restoration begins when we humble ourselves before God and turn back to Him. As we draw near to Him, He helps us see ourselves clearly including the sins that separate us from Him.
Luke 5:8 (NLT) “When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, ‘Oh Lord, please leave me, I’m such a sinful man.'” Peter’s encounter with Jesus revealed his own sinful nature. In the same way, when we come into God’s presence, His light exposes the areas of our lives that need transformation.

Have you tried repeatedly to overcome it but keep falling back into the same pattern?
The answer is not in greater willpower but it is found in Jesus. Turn to Him and spend time in His presence and allow Him to work in your heart.
How do you tune into His presence?
Start talking to Him right where you are. Be honest and tell Him everything that is on your heart. He is closer than you think and ready to help you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
PRAYER
Lord, I have failed You many times. I have tried to overcome my sin, yet I keep falling short. Today I humbly come before You. Please forgive me and set me free from every habitual sin. I cannot do this on my own. I draw near to You please draw near to me. Transform my heart and help me walk in obedience.In Jesus’ name, Amen
