TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : I Chronicles 1-4 Chapters
DEVOTION
Solomon could have asked God for anything, yet he chose wisdom to lead the nation. Because he placed God’s purpose a priority above personal gain, God blessed him with riches, wealth and honour as well.
Jesus also taught about priorities in Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
1. Fill your heart and mind with His desires
2. Serve Him in everything
3. obey in everything.
In today’s world, many things compete for our attention or priority like school, college, friends, career, goals, and even our desires. These can easily take first place if we are not intentional. But when we choose to put God first, everything else falls into its proper place. Just like a puzzle when you place a particular thing in its place, rest all fall into its place automatically and it doesn’t require much effort.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to fill my thoughts with Your desires and to serve and obey You in everything. Teach me to put You first in every area of my life. Amen.
