8 APRIL 2026, DAY 98 – BE INTENTIONAL IN SEEKING GOD

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : I Chronicles 21-24 chapters

DEVOTION

1 Chronicles 22:19 Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. The word seek (Hebrew: darash) means to diligently inquire, to pursue with intention, and to search with the whole heart.

So how can we be intentional in seeking God?

1. SEEKING GOD THROUGH FASTING

Fasting is more than abstaining from food, it is making space for God by removing distractions. Whether it’s food, social media, or unnecessary noise, fasting quiets everything that competes for our attention. Every hunger pang becomes a reminder that I need God more than anything else. In that surrendered space, God reveals what is hidden, misplaced priorities, small compromises, and areas that need change. And not only does He reveal but also restores.

2. SEEKING GOD THROUGH WORSHIP

Worship realigns our focus. When we worship and express our love for God wholeheartedly, it shifts our attention from distractions to His presence. It reminds us that God is not distant and he is right next us and He is worthy of our attention in every moment.

3. SEEKING GOD THROUGH HIS WORD

God’s Word is alive, powerful a double edged sword that penetrates the heart. When we meditate, it transforms us. It becomes our guide, like a GPS correcting our path, shaping our thoughts, and aligning our decisions with His will. It’s choosing, again and again, to turn our hearts toward Him throughout the day. Today I’m reminded that God is not asking for a part of me He desires my whole heart.

PRAYER

God, I repent for allowing my priorities to shift and for seeking other things more than You. Teach me to seek You not just in quiet moments, but in every moment. Let my heart remain aware of Your presence throughout the day. Draw me deeper into You through fasting, through worship, and through Your Word. You are my greatest need. Amen. ‎
