9 SEPTEMBER 2026, DAY 252 – UNITED IN PRAYER DURING CRISIS

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Daniel 1-3 Chapters

DEVOTION

In Daniel Chapter 2, King Nebuchadnezzar had troubling dreams that kept him awake. He summoned all the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers of Babylon to tell him what he had dreamed and interpret it. However, none of them could answer the king.

Daniel 2:10-11

Furious at their failure, the king ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. This death decree also threatened Daniel and his companions. When Daniel learned of this, his immediate response was not panic, but faith. He went home to his friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego), and shared the situation.

When these four faithful friends came together in agreement before the Lord, the heaven responded. “During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision.” – Daniel 2:19. Overflowing with gratitude, Daniel praised God.

Do you pray with your friends?

We often share leisure, meals, and casual conversations with those we call friends, but how often do we kneel together in prayer?

Do we stand in united agreement before God when facing crisis?

Jesus said, “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”  – Matthew 18:19

Seeking God’s Direction in the unknown, When life presents mysteries, hidden traps, or impossible situations beyond human wisdom, praying together unlocks God’s divine intervention.

Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

If you do not have godly friends who will stand with you in prayer, ask God today to grant you such companions. If you already have friends in faith, make a deliberate effort to come together in united prayer and seek the God of heaven.

PRAYER

Dear God, help me to be good friend who shares the burden of others, offer encouragement, and faithfully pray for them. Give me a compassionate heart and the wisdom to support my friends in times of need. In Jesus name, amen.
