TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : 1 Chronicles 9–12
DEVOTION
In 1 Chronicles 11:15–19, we read about three mighty men who risked their lives just to fulfill David’s desire for water. Their act was not just loyalty to a king, it reflected deep devotion. However, David refused to drink the water. Instead, he poured it out as an offering to God, recognizing that such sacrifice and devotion belong to God alone.
Three men brought water to him and David gave it back to God. This reminds us that true service about honoring God through our actions. Just as these men gave themselves in service, we are called to put aside our own interests and serve others with humility and love. Romans 12:10 (NLT) encourages us “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”
WHEN WE SERVE OTHERS, WE ARE ULTIMATELY SERVING GOD.
Are you willing to serve others selflessly?
Are you taking every opportunity to honor and uplift others?
PRAYER
Lord, help me to serve others with genuine love. Teach me to honor others and reflect Your heart in all I do. Amen.
