TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Isaiah 37-40 Chapters
DEVOTION
Isaiah 37:35 NLT
“For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and protect it.”
In this verse, God promises to defend Jerusalem for the sake of His own honor and because of His covenant with David. The Assyrian king, Sennacherib, had mocked both Jerusalem and the living God, sending threatening letters and speaking arrogantly against Him.
What the people of Jerusalem could never accomplish on their own, God did for them. He fought the battle they could not fight.
Perhaps you are facing a situation that seems impossible today. Remember, our God is the God of the impossible. When we place our trust in Him and seek Him earnestly, He is able to do what is beyond human strength and understanding.
Keep praying, trusting and keep asking God for His guidance and intervention. He is faithful, and He can make a way even when there seems to be no way.
PRAYER
God, many situations in my life seem impossible from a human perspective, but I know nothing is impossible for You. I ask for Your intervention in every area where I need Your help. Thank You for making a way where there seems to be no way and for turning the impossible into a testimony of Your power and faithfulness. In Jesus name, Amen.
