TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Esther 6-10 chapters
DEVOTION
Esther 6:1-11 ( read it for better understanding) That night, the king had trouble sleeping, so he called to review his reign and the servants read to him about Mordecai’s good deeds. Do you think it was a coincidence?
Absolutely not!
It was nothing but the favor of God and God’s work behind the scenes. In the same way, God has been working patiently and quietly throughout your life too. Remember this, child of God nothing happens accidentally or coincidentally in our lives, it is all under God’s sovereign control.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Today, God might even make someone sleepless just to bless you and show you His favor. Our God is truly extraordinary.
What made the king sleepless?
Mordecai’s faithfulness to God.
Be faithful in your walk with God, do not expect rewards. Continue to walk and serve Him with your full potential. At the right time, He will make it happen.
We all desire amazing miracles, but are we willing to remain faithful like Mordecai?
Mordecai’s life was not easy. He was hated by Haman, yet he remained faithful even to the point of risking his life to save others. He was willing to give up everything for God, and in due time, God honored him.
Are you faithful in what God has entrusted you with? Being faithful comes with a cost, are you willing to pay the price?
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the lessons from Mordecai’s life. Strengthen and empower me to live a life that pleases You in everyway. Amen.
