23 SEPTEMBER 2026,DAY 266 – BE CONSISTENT IN SEEKING GOD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Jonah 1-4 Chapters

DEVOTION

Jonah 2:7 (NKJV)

“When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple.”

Often, we find ourselves doing the same thing. When everything is going smoothly, we may take God for granted. Sometimes, we even forget to seek Him. But when we lose hope, face difficulties, or feel broken, we immediately cry out to Him.

Now imagine that you have a friend whom you only go to when you are feeling low or sad. You never go to that friend when you are happy, excited, or joyful.

Would you call that a real friendship?

Probably not.

A genuine friendship is built through consistency being there for each other through both the highs and the lows. In the same way, our relationship with God should not be an inconsistent, up and down spiritual life where we seek Him only when we are in trouble.

God desires a consistent relationship with us.

Seek Him not only in your difficult moments, but also in your happy moments. Talk to Him when you are hurting, and thank Him when you are rejoicing. Pray when you need help, and pray when everything is going well.

When we consistently seek God in both the good and bad times, our relationship with Him grows deeper and stronger. And as our relationship with Him becomes stronger, so does our spiritual life.

Seek God in every season because you love Him.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for always being there for me in both my highs and my lows. Forgive me for the times I have taken You for granted or remembered You only when I was in trouble.

Today, I make a decision to consistently seek You in both my good times and difficult times. Help me with my decision. In Jesus name, Amen.
