TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Jeremiah 51-52 Chapters
DEVOTION
Jeremiah 52:31-34
The Bible tells us that Evil-Merodach, the king of Babylon, showed kindness to Jehoiachin, the king of Judah. After years of imprisonment, Jehoiachin was released, given a place of honor, and allowed to eat at the king’s table for the rest of his life.
Think about that for a moment.
How can you expect kindness from someone who represents the very nation that brought destruction upon you?
How can something good come from a situation that looks completely against you?
But God.
Say it with me, “But God can do it.”
There may be situations in your life today that look impossible. You may be facing opposition, rejection, closed doors, difficult people, or circumstances that seem completely beyond your control.
But remember this that God is not limited by your circumstances.
The same God who could cause a Babylonian king to show unexpected kindness to Jehoiachin is still the same God today. He can change hearts. He can open doors. He can make a way where there seems to be no way.
You may not understand what God is doing right now, but keep trusting Him. Keep seeking His presence.
What looks like opposition today can become a testimony tomorrow.
When you cannot see a way, remember,
But God can.
But God is still working.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for reminding me that You are able to do what seems impossible. When I face opposition, difficult circumstances, or situations that seem completely against me, help me to remember that You are still in control. Just as You turned an unexpected situation around for Jehoiachin, I believe You can turn things around in my life according to Your will. In Jesus name, amen.
