TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Mark 15-16 chapters
DEVOTION
Mark 16:1-3
The women bought spices on Saturday evening, after the Sabbath had ended, so they could go to the tomb early the next morning and anoint his body as an expression of their love and devotion. Bringing spices to a tomb was similar to bringing flowers to a grave today.
However, these women faced two major obstacles one is the Roman guards and the other huge stone blocking the entrance to the tomb. These seemed like impossible obstacles, yet the women moved forward in their devotion to Jesus.
As we share the Gospel with others, we too may face many obstacles, such as fear, hesitation, rejection, or difficult circumstances. But let us not allow these challenges to stop us. Let us move forward with love and gratitude for Jesus, trusting Him to take care of every obstacle along the way.
Remember that when our hearts are filled with love for Jesus, obstacles will not stop us.
PRAYER
Lord, as I begin this day, please give me opportunities to share the Gospel with others. Help me move forward with love and gratitude for all You have done for me. When I face obstacles, give me the courage to keep going and the faith to leave every difficulty in Your hands. May my life reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name, amen.
