Ezekiel 28:2-3
Daniel was an important official in Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom and was already renowned for his wisdom. Yet Daniel acknowledged that his wisdom came from the Lord. In Daniel 2:20–23, he praised God as the One who gives wisdom and understanding.
In contrast, the king of Tyre became proud and thought of himself as a god. He credited his own wisdom and understanding to himself rather than recognizing God as the source.
What about you?
If you are wise, smart, talented, or successful, whom do you credit?
True wisdom comes from God. Truly wise people recognize that they need God and choose to depend on Him for guidance and understanding. Whatever wisdom or ability we have is ultimately a gift from Him.
Let us remain humble and remember that without God, we can do nothing.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for blessing me with wisdom and understanding. I acknowledge the fact that wisdom I have comes from You. Teach me to depend on You for guidance in every area of my life. Without You, I can do nothing. May my wisdom always bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name, Amen.
