2 MAY 2026, DAY 121 – WHEN THE WICKED PROSPER DESPITE THEIR SIN

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Job 19-21 Scripture

DEVOTION

Job 21:29–32 (NLT) In life, many of us notice something troubling that is wicked prosper despite their sin. They gain wealth, power, and influence, while those trying to live rightly may struggle. It can feel unfair and raise difficult questions

Why should we try to be good?

Does righteousness really matter?

We observe that the wicked often live long, comfortable lives and seem to escape consequences. But Scripture reminds us that what we see now is not the full story. Revelation 20:11–15 gives us a sobering picture of the final judgment. Every person, great or small, will stand before God. The “Book of Life” is opened, and each one is judged according to their deeds. No one escapes this moment. God’s justice may seem delayed, but it is never denied. It remind us that God is a righteous and just Judge. The success of the wicked is temporary, but God’s judgment is eternal. As children of God, we are to stay grounded in truth.

It’s easy to become distracted, discouraged, or even envious when we compare our lives with others especially wicked. So, don’t be discouraged or distracted by wicked people but becareful that you are going to judged one day according to your deeds because you are responsible for your actions. An IAS officer for being honest, his career was marked by 57 transfers, averaging one every 6 months. He stood by his values no matter what others did, he dint succumb to the pressure.

What you and me can do is STAY FOCUSED ON THE PATH WHICH IS GROUNDED IN HIS TRUTH.

PRAYER

Lord, When I am tempted to compare or question, remind me that Your justice is sure and Your timing is perfect. Give me the strength to walk in integrity, even when it is difficult. Help me stay focused on my path and live according to your truth. Amen.
