DEVOTION
Isaiah 7:12 (NLT)
But the king refused. ‘No,’he said, “I will not test the Lord that way.”
King Ahaz appeared to be humble and righteous by refusing to ask God for a sign. Yet God Himself had invited him to ask for one. Ahaz’s refusal was not an act of faith it was an act of unbelief. He had already decided to rely on his own plans instead of trusting God’s plan.
Generally we humans try to find a lot of excuses such as not wanting to bother God & blaming some theological questions that concern us to keep us from communicating with God. Remember this, don’t let anything keep you from hearing and obeying God
Don’t let fear, pride, doubt, or excuses prevent you from hearing and following God. He delights in speaking to those who seek Him with sincere and willing hearts.
PRAYER
Dear God, remove every fear, doubt, and excuse that keeps me from hearing Your voice and obeying Your will. Give me a humble heart that trusts You completely and the courage to follow wherever You lead. May my life reflect faith, obedience, and complete dependence on You. In Jesus name, Amen.
