15 MAY 2026, DAY 134 – FAITHFUL IN THE HIGHS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalms 16-18 chapters DEVOTION

“You have rescued me from the contentions of the people; You have placed me as the head of the nations; A people whom I have not known serve me. As soon as they hear me, they respond and obey me; Foreigners feign obedience to me.” Psalms 18:43, 44 (AMP)

God gave David victory after victory over many nations the Jebusites,

the Philistines,

the Syrians,

the Edomites,

the Ammonites and

the king of Tyre had sent resources and workmen to help build his palace.

Yet David never credited himself for his success. He recognized that every blessing, every victory, and every position came from God alone. One of the greatest tests in life is not only how we handle hardships, but how we handle success. Success or Prosperity can either draw us closer to God or slowly pull our hearts away from Him.

David remained grounded even in his greatest moments. He kept his eyes on God in both valleys and victories. May we also remain thankful, humble, and faithful in every season.

PRAYER

Lord, help me stay grounded in both highs and lows. Let my success never replace my dependence on You. Amen.
