TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : II Chronicles 21-24 chapters
DEVOTION
II Chronicles 24:18-20 When King Joash and the nation of Judah tuned away from God, God sent Zechariah to call them to repentance. This shows us that God always gives a chance to return before judgement , correction. God doesn’t walk away from us when we sin. Instead, He lovingly pursues us through His Word, through the leading of His Spirit, and sometimes through people around us.
As it says in Isaiah 53:6, “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away, we have left God’s paths to follow our own, yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all.” Even when we wander, God made a way to bring us back through Jesus and that is the depth of His love.
Sometimes When you feel distant from Him, remember He is not far away, He is actively pursuing you(our good shepherd) Close your eyes and listen. Let Him reveal anything that is pulling you away. Don’t ignore His voice, because repeatedly silencing Him can leads us down the wrong path. Instead allow him to point out your sin so, you can repent and follow again.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for being my Good Shepherd. Even when I wander, You pursue me with love and grace. Show me anything that’s pulling me away from You. I repent and choose to follow You wholeheartedly. Lead me back into Your will. Amen.
