TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Ecclesiastes 7-9 Chapters
DEVOTION
“Finishing is better than starting.” Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NLT)
Many people can begin a new goal with excitement like a project, a business, a ministry, or a healthy habit. The greater challenge is staying faithful through difficulties, distractions, and setbacks. Ecclesiastes reminds us that true value is found in seeing something through to completion.
It also points to King Solomon’s experience. He accomplished many great works, yet his wisdom led him to recognize that a strong finish is more important than an impressive start. Vision alone is not enough but perseverance, wisdom, discipline, and dependence on God are essential to complete what we begin.
What has God called you to continue faithfully, did the initial excitement fade?
PRAYER
Dear God, thank You for giving me opportunities to begin new things. Please give me the wisdom, strength, and perseverance to finish what You have called me to do. Help me remain faithful in both my spiritual life and my daily responsibilities, and may I complete them according to Your will. In Jesus name, Amen.
