Zechariah 4:10
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
Many older Jews who had seen the splendor of the previous temple built during Solomon’s reign were disheartened when they realized that this new temple would not match its size and magnificence.
But bigger and more beautiful is not always better.
What you are doing in your career may seem small. Your background , qualification might be small. What you are doing for God may seem insignificant. The work you do may be invisible, and nobody may appreciate or recognize your efforts.
But remember this
God rejoices when we faithfully do what He has placed before us, even when it seems small.
Be faithful with the little opportunities God has given you. Whether it is taking care of your home, doing your work diligently, serving others, or simply fulfilling the responsibilities He has entrusted to you do it faithfully.
Never say, “It is too small to matter.”
God sees every small act of faithfulness.
So, whatever little opportunity God has given you, be faithful in it. Do not despise small beginnings. When you are faithful with the little, trust God with the increase. He can take what seems small in your hands and use it for something much greater.
Be faithful in the little. God sees, God rejoices, and God is able to take you higher.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to be faithful in all the little opportunities You have given me. Help me not to despise small beginnings or feel discouraged when my work seems unnoticed or insignificant. Give me grace to serve You faithfully in every responsibility You place before me. May everything I do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name, amen.
