TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : II Kings 1-4 chapters DEVOTION
The kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom formed an alliance to fight against the king of Moab. As they journeyed through the wilderness for seven days, they ran out of water for both the army and their animals.
In this desperate situation, King Jehoshaphat of Judah sought the word from the Lord. II Kings 3:16 (NLT) says “this is what the Lord says, You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with pools of water.”
Today, you may be walking through a dry and difficult season. It could be spiritual, physical, emotional, relational, financial. Just like that valley, your situation may look empty and hopeless. But when you seek God earnestly, He responds. The same God who spoke then is still faithful today. The One who allowed the dry season is also able to fill it. God is promising that your dry valley will be filled. Keep trusting, keep seeking and keep praising. Praise Him not just for what you see but for what He has already promised.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for Your promise to fill every dry valley in my life. Amen.
