TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Luke 4-6 chapters
DEVOTION
Luke 5:4-10
In His Presence, We See Ourselves Clearly
After witnessing the miraculous catch of fish, Peter fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (Luke 5:8)
What made Peter respond this way? In the presence of Jesus, the Light of the world, Peter recognized his own sinfulness.
When we draw closer to God, His light reveals who we truly are and what needs to change in us.
Do you want to know which direction to take in life?
Do you want to understand where you stand with God?
Do you want to see the reality of your heart?
Draw closer to God and seek Him with all your heart. Let His light guide you and transform you.
PRAYER
Lord, let Your light shine upon me and reveal where I stand with You. Show me anything that comes between us. May my thoughts, words, and actions be pleasing to You. As I draw near to you draw me closer to You each day. In Jesus name, amen.
