TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Mark 1-4 chapters
DEVOTION
Last night, at a restaurant, I saw someone bringing a paralyzed friend to eat and spend time together. Watching them deeply moved me and reminded me of this passage.
It made me ask myself, What am I doing for my friends and others?
Mark 2:1-12
The house where Jesus was staying was so crowded that no one else could enter. Four men brought their paralyzed friend to Jesus, but when they couldn’t get through the crowd, they went up to the roof and lowered him down. Seeing their faith, Jesus healed the man.
What a beautiful picture of friendship!
These men didn’t allow obstacles to stop them from bringing their friend to Jesus.
When our friends are struggling, do we pray for them?
Do we stand with them and bring their needs before God?
Today, we may not carry our friends physically, but we can carry them in our prayers. We may not be able to solve their problems, but we can bring them to Jesus.
In a world where everyone is busy with their own lives, can we be that friend who genuinely cares, prays, and continues to stand in the gap for others?
Will you be the friend who carries others to Jesus in prayer?
PRAYER
Lord, help me to be a friend who faithfully prays for others. Give me a heart that cares for those who are struggling. Help me not to be consumed by my own life but to notice the needs of those around me. Teach me to carry my friends to You in prayer. In Jesus name, amen.
