TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Matthew 7-9 Chapters
DEVOTION
You might be saying, “I have been praying for days, months, years, or even decades, yet I still haven’t received an answer.”
Jesus says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7
Notice that asking, seeking, and knocking are continuous actions. Jesus encourages us to persist in pursuing God.
I know it can be disheartening and discouraging to pray for the same request over and over again without seeing an answer. Sometimes, we may even wonder whether God hears our prayers. Yet, in those moments, let us not lose heart. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking.
Jesus calls us to persevere in our relationship with God. Sometimes, people give up after a few attempts and conclude that there will be no answer. But we must remember that God is faithful, and His wisdom is greater than ours. We may not always understand His timing or His ways, but we can continue to trust Him even when we cannot see the outcome.
So, don’t give up on seeking God. Continue to bring your requests before Him, trusting His goodness and wisdom. Keep asking Him for greater knowledge, patience, wisdom, and love. Our Heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11)
Remember, delayed answers do not mean that God has forgotten you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep growing in your relationship with Him. Let your persistence in prayer be an expression of your faith, not merely an attempt to obtain what you desire.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I will keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. Help me to trust You even when I do not see an immediate answer to my prayers. Give me the patience to endure, the faith to persevere, and the wisdom to trust Your timing and Your will. Teach me to grow in knowledge, love, and understanding as I continue to seek You. Until I receive an answer, help me remain steadfast in faith and never grow weary of coming into Your presence. Thank You for being a good and faithful Father. In Jesus name, amen.
