4 SEPTEMBER 2026, DAY 247 – FOR I, THE LORD, HAVE SPOKEN, I WILL DO IT.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ezekiel 34-36 Chapters

DEVOTION

Did you ever receive a promise from God?

Initially, the moment you receive a promise, you’ll be so excited and full of joy. You’ll jump to your feet and receive that promise with faith, believing that it will happen.

But slowly, as you wait and wait…

Weeks have passed.
Months have passed.
Years have passed.

And now you come to a point where you begin to wonder “Will this ever happen?”

From a human point of view, it may seem impossible. Your circumstances may tell you that there is no way it can happen.

But can you still have faith in God during the waiting?

Can you still trust Him when there is uncertainty?

Remember, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If God said it, He will do it. No matter how long you have to wait, no matter what comes your way, and no matter how impossible it may look.

“For I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I say.”   Ezekiel 36:36 NLT

If He has said it, He is well able to do it.

So don’t let the waiting make you doubt the promise. Don’t let your circumstances make you doubt God.

Hold on to His Word and keep trusting.

Because what God has spoken, He is faithful to fulfill.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for the promises You have spoken over my life. Sometimes it seems impossible for those promises to come to pass. As I wait, it’s discouraging sometimes but today, I choose to trust You. You have spoken it over my life, I believe that it shall come to pass in Your perfect timing. Strengthen my faith. Help me trust You even when I cannot see how it will happen. I choose to believe Your Word over my circumstances. In Jesus name, amen.
