Isaiah 65:24 (NLT)
“I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!”
What an amazing promise!
Just imagine that the God who created the universe, the planets, the earth, the sun, the stars, the trees, the animals, and each one of us is making this promise to us. This verse beautifully reflects the depth of God’s love and care for you.
Sometimes our earthly fathers recognize our needs even before we express them. They notice what is missing and quietly provide for us. At times, when they return from a trip, they bring gifts that delight us without us ever asking. If an earthly father can lovingly care for his children in this way, how much more will our Heavenly Father care for us?
Psalm 91:15 NLT
“When they call on me, I will answer, I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.”
Although Isaiah tells us that God may answer even before we ask, it does not mean we should stop bringing our requests to Him. There are times when God, in His perfect love and knowledge, provides even before we speak. Yet His Word also encourages us to call upon Him. As we seek Him in prayer, He promises to answer, to be with us in times of trouble, and to rescue and deliver us.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the love and care You continually show me. I do not deserve such amazing love, yet You pour out Your mercy upon me each day. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayers. You have answered my prayers many times in the past, and I trust that You will continue to answer in the days ahead because You are a God who answers. In Jesus name, Amen.
