TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Job 28-30 chapters
DEVOTION
People know how to mine silver and dig gold. They know how to extract iron from the earth. They cut tunnels into rock and uncover precious stones; they can even explore space and the galaxies. They understand the layers of the earth the crust, core, mantle and they know how to tear apart flinty rock. Humans are intelligent enough to do all of these things. There’s alot of difference between being intelligent and being wise.
But do people know where to find wisdom?
And where is the place of understanding?
Job answers this beautifully in Job 28:28 (NLT). This is what God says to all humanity, the fear of the Lord is true wisdom, to forsake evil is real understanding.” True wisdom is seeing life through God’s view and perspective. As the Creator of life, only He only knows what is best for His creation. It is pointless to become smart without seeking God’s wisdom, because God alone sees the greater purpose in your life.
Did you ever ask God, His perspective of your life?
PRAYER
Lord, reveal your purpose and perspective of life to me. Amen.
