TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Job 1-3 chapters
DEVOTION
Job, a wealthy and upright man, lost his possessions, his children, and his health. As he struggled to understand why all this was happening, it became clear that he was not meant to know the reason. Just imagine yourself in his place it’s miserable, right? Job had to face life with answers and explanations withheld.
Have you ever gone through something like this? Maybe you don’t have answers to your situation. Maybe you don’t know why you are suffering or what the reason is behind it.
Despite unanswered questions and no explanations, Job trusted God with all his heart.
Will we, like Job, trust God no matter what?
Or will we give in to pressure and say that God doesn’t really care and love me?
You may not understand why something is happening right now, but trust God one day, it will make sense. Our God is not a tiny God, but a big, big, powerful God.
Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We often treat this verse as a promise of success, wealth, or victory. But Paul wrote these words while he was in prison. In context, it means having the strength to endure any situation whether in abundance or in need by relying on Christ. So, God will give us strength to endure.
Just like Job and Paul we too can find the strength to endure unanswered questions by relying on God.
PRAYER
Lord, I thank You even for the unanswered questions in my life. My mind cannot comprehend everything, and it doesn’t always make sense. Yet, I choose to trust You and You alone. Amen.
