12 APRIL 2026, DAY 102 – IF GOD WRITES A DESCRIPTION ABOUT YOU, HOW WOULD THAT BE?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : II Chronicles 9-12 chapters

DEVOTION

II Chronicles 12:14 (NIV) “He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the Lord.” This verse speaks about Rehoboam. His life became a tragedy not because he lacked opportunity or heritage but because he failed to set his heart on seeking the Lord. Just imagine that. The grandson of David, a man known for being after God’s own heart, yet remembered with such a painful description.

This shows something important, it’s not our background, family, or position that defines us it’s the direction of our heart. God desires a firm commitment from us. Seeking Him isn’t something casual it requires intention and consistency. If we don’t actively set our hearts toward Him, we may slowly drift away without even realizing it.

Now think about this honestly If God were to write a single sentence about your life today, what would it say?

Would it reflect a heart that seeks Him?

Or one that is distracted, distant?

We get to choose that description by the way we live each day.

PRAYER

Lord, I set my heart on seeking You. Help me to pursue You daily with sincerity and commitment. Let my life reflect a desire for You above all else. Amen.
