29 MARCH DAY 88 – OBEY EVEN WHEN IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : II Kings 5–8 Chapters DEVOTION

In Naaman’s story, we see that he traveled all the way from Syria for healing. When he finally reached the prophet Elisha, he was given a simple instruction to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. To Naaman, this instruction seemed foolish and unreasonable. He expected something greater, something more dramatic. Disappointed and hesitant, he almost walked away. But his servants gently reasoned with him, encouraging him to obey.             So Naaman humbled himself, went to the Jordan, and washed seven times just as he was told. And in his obedience, he received his healing.

There are times when God’s instructions may not make sense to our natural mind. They may seem too simple, illogical, or even uncomfortable. But obedience in those moments brings breakthrough. As written in Romans 8:28, all things work together for good. God’s instructions are always for our benefit, even when we don’t understand them. Obedience has to do nothing with your understanding.

PRAYER

Lord, I choose to obey Your instructions even when they don’t make sense to my mind or my five senses, Amen.
