TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Job 37-39 chapters DEVOTION
Instead of answering Job’s questions directly, God asks Job a series of questions which no human could possibly answer. God used Job’s ignorance of the earth’s natural order to reveal his ignorance of God’s moral order. If Job did not understand the workings of God’s physical creation, how could he possibly understand God’s mind and character?
His creation speaks so much to us, the detailing and patterns God showed in creating the flowers, fruits, clouds, mountains, rain, hail, and snow. Every living thing and geographical feature speaks of His Sovereignty. God was not seeking answers from Job, but He was getting Job to recognize and submit to God’s power and sovereignty.
NEVER QUESTION GOD.
If something is happening in our lives, that means God in His Sovereign Control has allowed it. Somethings happen because of our decisions, anyway this is a different case. God allows suffering to mold and shape us for His eternal purpose. Our job is to never question, but to surrender completely to His sovereignty.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for all the things both sorrow and joy, you have allowed in my life. I completely surrender myself to your sovereignty and your will and let your purpose be fulfilled in my life. Amen.
