TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Job 13-15 chapters DEVOTION
“Who can make a clean thing out of the unclean?” Job 14:4 (AMP)
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:19 (AMP)
“If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7 (AMP)
How does Jesus’ blood cleanse us from every sin?
In the Old Testament, God’s people brought animal sacrifices, symbolically transferring their sins onto them. Through these sacrifices, forgiveness was granted, and they were restored to God’s favor. But these were only a shadow of what was to come, they pointed to Jesus Christ, the perfect and final sacrifice.
In Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sin brings death. It is you and me who should be punished for the sins. But Jesus took that death upon Himself.
The girl or boy who is reading JESUS died for you.
Jesus Paid It All. He sees you. He understands your guilt, your shame, and your struggles. Even when you feel alone or misunderstood, Jesus knows and He cares deeply for you. He chose the cross for you.
