TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Psalms 58-60 chapters DEVOTION
David begins these Psalms by describing the behaviour of his enemies. He expresses deep despair as he looks at those who seek to harm him. However, in the closing verses of Psalm 59, we see a powerful transition.
“But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.” Psalm 59:16 (NLT) There is a clear transition from focusing on the struggle to focusing on the saviour. David’s perspective changed as he reminded himself of God’s unfailing love and protection. Though his situation had not immediately changed, his focus did.
What negative circumstances, stressful situations, or discouraging thoughts are you facing today?
Remember these situations can become opportunities to praise God and trust Him more deeply.
Negative circumstances → God’s faithful presence
No matter what you are going through, God remains faithful. Our God is greater than every problem we face. Keep reminding yourself of His unfailing love and faithful presence in your life. keep on praising……..
PRAYER
Lord, in the midst of negative circumstances and stressful situations, help me to praise You and remain mindful of Your faithful presence in my life.Amen.
