TODAY’s SCRIPTURE: Luke 19-21 chapters
DEVOTION
Luke 21:34-36
Jesus told His disciples to keep watch and be prepared for His return. It has been nearly 2,000 years since these words were spoken, yet the truth remains the same.
JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN!
Therefore, we need to be watchful, alert, and spiritually prepared.
What does this mean for us?
It means being faithful in whatever God has entrusted to us, no matter how small it may seem. Whether it is preaching or simply cleaning a chair, do it faithfully and out of love for God. No task is too small when it is done for Him.
Don’t let your mind be filled with the junk of this world. Don’t allow careless living, drunkenness, or the worries of this life to distract you from God. Be careful not to let anything overpower you or draw you away from Him. Stay focused on Christ and remain steadfast in your faith.
WATCH OUT!
JESUS IS COMING BACK!
And if you are reading this for the first time, I don’t know what you are going through, but I want you to know this JESUS LOVES YOU. He loves you even in your failures and flaws, even when life is difficult, and even when you find it hard to love yourself. He knows you by name, and He is calling you to come to Him just as you are.
Talk to God honestly about whatever you are going through. Pour out your heart to Him. He knows your struggles, understands your pain, and is more than able to handle whatever you bring before Him.
PRAYER
Dear Jesus, come into my heart. I surrender every pain, every struggle, and everything that is coming between You and me. Forgive me for my sins, help me to walk in Your ways, and prepare my heart for Your return. I accept You as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank You for loving me just as I am. In Jesus name, amen.
