20 JUNE 2026, DAY 171 – ARE YOU A PEACE MAKER?

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Psalms 120-122 Chapters

DEVOTION

“I search for peace, but when I speak of peace, they want war.” Psalms 120:7 NLT

Peacemaking is not always popular. Some people naturally want to fight for what they believe in. All of us have likely faced situations of battle or fight while growing up in schools, colleges, or the workplace and it happens everywhere. In adulthood, these conflicts can escalate into politics with the intention of prolonging the fight.

BATTLE

Driven by the hope of winning, but in every battle, someone must be a loser.

OUR ROLE AS BELIEVERS

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. As believers who follow Him, we are called to be peacemakers in our schools, colleges, workplaces, and wherever we find ourselves.

PEACEMAKING

Actually produces two winners.

How does peacemaking look like?

It is the active pursuit to forgive that person in your heart and make every effort to be at peace with others. Peace making is God’s way of dealing with things. We must carefully and peacefully attempt to be peacemakers.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus Christ into this world in a human form to reconcile me with you, Father God, which ultimately brought peace between You and me. God, help me reflect the same peace which I received from you in my relationship with others. Wherever I’m placed, help me bring solutions & peace in the chaos in my workplace or where i am, In Jesus name, Amen.
