18 SEPTEMBER 2026, DAY 261 – I WILL RESTORE

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE: Joel 1-3 Chapters

DEVOTION

Have you ever felt stagnant in life as though the days, months, or even years are passing by, but you are not moving forward?

Have you ever experienced one loss after another, and with every loss, you became more aware of what you had already lost?

Joel 2:25 (NKJV)
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”

CONTEXT

The prophet Joel spoke to the people of Judah during a time of great crisis. A massive swarm of locusts had destroyed their crops and fields, bringing severe famine and hardship to the nation.

So, what had the locusts eaten?

Perhaps they had eaten away not only their crops, but also their time, health, wealth, opportunities, jobs, businesses, dreams, and hopes.

Maybe you are going through a difficult season right now. Your struggle may be in your finances, career, health, relationships, business, or in some other area of life.

Whatever it may be, remember this promise from God

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.”

What feels lost to you is not beyond God’s ability to restore.

You may feel that certain seasons of your life have been wasted, but God can redeem what you cannot recover. No difficult season, mistake, disappointment, or lost time is beyond His ability to use for His purpose.

While you wait for His restoration, continue to trust Him. Keep examining your heart, repent where necessary, and maintain a clear conscience before God.

You may not see progress today, but that does not mean God has stopped working.

PRAYER

Lord, thank you for the wonderful promise you’ve given me. It’s really hard for me to watch days, months, years go by without progress. But I know that no difficult season, mistake, lost time is wasted in your hands. Thank you for working all things for my good. Strengthen my faith as I wait up on you. In Jesus name, amen.
