14 JULY 2026, DAY 195 – LOVE THAT WAITS

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Song of Solomon 1-8 Chapters

DEVOTION
“Do not awaken love until the time is right.” Song of Solomon 2:7 NLT

Love is often experienced as a deep emotional feelings. At times, these emotions can become so intense that they overshadow logical reasoning and wise judgment.

Young people, especially, may feel eager to pursue intimate relationships based primarily on strong emotions. Yet feelings alone are not enough to sustain a lifelong relationship.

Song of Solomon 2:7 reminds us that there is a difference between the feelings of love and the commitment that gives love lasting strength. It encourages us not to rush love and paying heed to feelings before the right time. Instead, we should allow commitment, character, and spiritual maturity to grow before emotions.

Dear young brothers and sisters, be patient. Trust God’s timing as He prepares your heart and your future. Lasting love is built not only on affection or feelings but on commitment, faithfulness, and His guidance. Wait patiently on God it will happen in His perfect will and timing, He will bring about what is best.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank you for teaching me the difference between feelings and commitment. Help me to wait patiently for Your will and Your perfect timing. Guard my heart and help me to pursue holiness in all that I do. Shape me into a person of faithfulness, integrity, and genuine commitment. May my relationships always honor You and reflect Your love. In Jesus name, Amen.
