TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Matthew 13-15 Chapters
DEVOTION
Matthew 14:25-31
Peter was able to walk on water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. But when he saw the wind and became afraid, he began to sink.
Sometimes, our faith is strong in the beginning, but as we journey through life, the challenges around us can cause our faith to weaken. We begin to focus more on our problems than on the One who has the power to help us overcome them.
Maybe you are in that phase right now. Your faith is growing weak, your circumstances seem overwhelming, and you feel like you are sinking.
Remember, the same Jesus who reached out His hand to save Peter is ready to help you too. Just like Peter, call out to Him, and trust Him to hold you up.
Be courageous! Take your eyes off the distractions and troubles of this world, and fix them on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Your circumstances may be overwhelming, but God is greater than anything you are facing.
PRAYER
Lord, no matter what comes my way, help me take my eyes off my problems and fix them firmly on You. When my faith begins to weaken and I feel like I am sinking, remind me that You are always near. Give me the courage and strength to overcome every challenge through You. In Jesus name, amen.
