TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: II Kings 17-20 chapters
DEVOTION
In II Kings 20, we see King Hezekiah facing a life threatening situation. When the prophet Isaiah delivered the news, Hezekiah didn’t panic, complain or seek a human suggestion but he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord. That was his instant response.
When you hear bad news, what is your first reaponse?
Do you run to God or do you run to a human?
Before Isaiah had even left the courtyard, God spoke again saying “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.” This is the heart of God He hears, and He responds when we pray.
Sometimes God delays according to His will for our good but there are also moments when He moves quick bringing sudden and unexpected breakthroughs and divine acceleration. God has not ignored your prayers. He has seen every tear. Whatever you are facing right now, bring it to Him. He is ready to answer sometimes in ways faster than you expect.
YOUR FIRST RESPONSE IN TIMES OF TESTS AND TRIALS REVEALS YOUR LEVEL OF TRUST IN GOD.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for the answered prayers till now, help me to trust you with my whole heart. Amen.
