DAY 2 – The Walk with God

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE – Genesis 5 to 8 chapters

DEVOTION

Noah walked with God Are you walking with God? If Yes, how is it going? Let’s see how Noah walked with the Lord in the most challenging task to build an ark – Genesis 6:9 (NKJV)

. Noah’s mind goes like

 – Ark?

 – For what?

 – what is rain?

 – Me?

– God it doesn’t make sense

 God’s plan

– To save Noah’s family from flood

 People around

– May he was called crazy & mad – mocked by people

 DECISION ————OBEY    Yes/ No

Noah chose to please God amidst all the situations, no matter what his mind said or what people said. OBEDIENCE IS NOT EASY. IT’S GOING TO COST YOU SOMETHING or SOMETIMES EVERYTHING.

Let’s examine our walk with the Lord in this 21 st century.

Romans 12:1 (NKJV)

Present your bodies a living Sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable Service.

Now God is not asking you to build an ark but he is asking us to present our bodies as a living Sacrifice. This particular verse says that it is reasonable Service that means it is bare minimum we can do .

BODY AS LIVING SACRIFICE ————GOD SANTIFIES & EQUIPS us for mighty things .

Well, you decided to obey God .

AMAZING !

But obedience is not a one time event, it’s an ongoing process ( through phases of life ) .

Let’s see how God empowers us when we decide to walk in obedience .

Example – Daughter & Dad story

Daughter Wants to gift dad a watch on his birthday but she doesn’t have money .

Dad Sees her desire & gives money required for it .She buys with that money Gifts him .

IN THE SAME WAY Whenever God asks you to do a particular thing/task in obedience. In that very moment, he is right next to you to help you in “n” no of possible ways.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father Thank you for speaking to me through the word . yes , Lord i have seen how Noah walked with the Lord, now it’s my turn to walk with you.

Yes ,Lord I m making a decision to walk with you no matter what it takes or no matter what it costs me .

In JESUS name,

 Amen.
