TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Exodus 29-32 chapters
DEVOTION
Exodus 31:2-5(NLT)
“Look, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. He is a master at every craft.
In these verses, God clearly declares that He personally chose Bezalel to serve as the chief artisan for the tabernacle. Not only that, but Bezalel is also the first person in Scripture who is explicitly described as being filled with the Spirit of God.
This highlights something powerful, divine empowerment is not limited to preaching or leadership alone, but it also extends to creativity, skill, and everyday work done for God’s glory. Moreover, God didn’t just give Bezalel a task. He equipped him with wisdom, ability, and expertise to accomplish it. In other words, God’s calling always comes with God’s enabling.
Through Bezalel’s craftsmanship, we see God’s creative wisdom being expressed in tangible, beautiful ways. What may look like ordinary work on the outside was, in fact, sacred service in God’s eyes.
Likewise, this story reminds us that God’s purpose for each individual is unique. Although your calling may not look “spiritual” or exciting at first, it is still deeply meaningful to God. Sometimes, He may call you to pursue something you don’t like or something that feels completely out of your comfort zone. However, when you step into His purpose, God Himself steps in to enable and empowers you. He is the one who equips, strengthens, and completes the work He has begun in you. When you obey Him, even ordinary tasks are transformed into holy assignments.
PRAYER
Dear God, thank You for Your unique purpose in my life. Thank you for the empowerment and grace to fulfill what You have called me to do. In Jesus name, Amen.
