TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Numbers 4-6 chapters DEVOTION
Numbers 6th chapter mentions about Nazirite law which is a special commitment vow taken by men & women setting themselves apart in a special way. A voluntary Nazirite law is a vow, abstinence from wine, not cutting hair and not touching dead bodies. It is a voluntary act of devotion to God.
Even today, this teaches us the importance of setting ourselves apart for God’s purpose and keeping spiritual priorities first.
Romans 12:1, 2 (NLT) says And so, dear brothers & sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good & pleasing & perfect.
1.present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice
We need to recognise that we as Christians belong to God. Bible tells us that we no longer own our bodies because Christ paid for them when he died on the cross.

2.Not be conformed to this world
Here the world doesn’t refer to the planet earth but it points to mentality and thinking of the people around. World portrays wrong things as cool but stand your ground & think like Jesus. 3.Transformed by renewing of our minds
One of the best ways to become new person is to soak our mind & heat in the things which spiritually build us. Can do this by read reading God’s word, Singing hymns, praising God, Spending time in prayer and fellowship with other believers.
PRAYER
Dear God, Help me to present my body as a living sacrifice. In Jesus name, Amen.
