TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 10-12 chapters
DEVOTION
Deuteronomy 11:18-20 verses
God gave Israelites three ways to keep the bible at centre of everything they do. Let’s see how is it relevant to us.
1. MEMORISE SCRIPTURE
The idea behind verse 18 is to keep the scripture in front of everything we do. To tie them around the hand means Keeping it constantly in our view or reach. The Best way to keep God’s word at the front of our lives is to store them in our hearts & minds.
2. TALK THROUGHOUT THE DAY
verse 19 mentions talking about it throughout the day. In your school, college, workplace, job, in home, in leisure time. So that it’ll be easy to make bible a central part of your life.
3. NOTE MAKING
we may not necessarily write it on the doorposts of our houses & gates as verse 20 mentions. This idea is presented to remind us to etch God’s word in our memory. Noting down is so important because it helps in retention. One of the best ways to Memorise scriptures is to note down verse on sticky notes and carry it in your pocket, bag or can write or type on notes(mobile) Whenever you find time keep reading and memorising it.
