TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Numbers 31-33 chapters DEVOTION
Numbers 32:17 (NLT)
“But we will arm ourselves for battle and lead the Israelites into the land, until we have brought them safely to their place.”
In this verse, the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh promised Moses that they would not settle comfortably in their land until their fellow Israelites were safe. They were willing to fight alongside their brothers and sisters until everyone received their inheritance. They did not think only about themselves. They chose unity, responsibility, and faithfulness.
This raises an important question for us today. After others have helped you, do you make excuses to avoid helping them? Do you stop when your needs are met, or do you continue until the work is complete? God calls us to finish the whole job, even when it does not directly benefit us.
Jude 1:23 (AMP) Save others, snatching them out of the fire. This verse reminds us that God cares deeply about those who are lost. As believers, we are called to share that same concern.
So we must ask ourselves Am I truly concerned for the lost? If yes, what am I doing for them? In the 21st century, we may not fight physical battles, but we are still called to fight spiritual battles through love and service.
Here are practical ways we can do this
1. Pray for Others with Burden
Pray sincerely for people who are struggling, lost, or hurting. Carry them in your heart before God.
2. Show Love, Compassion and Kindness Express love in different ways through words, actions, and care so that people truly feel valued and loved.
3. Being there for others
Today, many people want to speak, but very few want to listen. In a world full of noise and chaos, are you willing to listen to others struggles? Sometimes, people don’t need solutions. They just need someone to be there for them.
Be available. Be patient. Be kind.
PRAYER
Dear God, help me prayer for others with burden, show love and compassion by being there for them. In Jesus name, Amen.
